CRR 2010 Mission Statement

Although we’ve been learning Chinese in school, (since kindergarten) going to China will allow we to interact with the local Chinese, and stay with a host family. In China, we will be surrounded by the Chinese language, forcing us to use what we’ve previously learned in the classroom. CRR, (China Research Residency) is a class where we learn about China, what people are like there, and why people there are like that. In China we will be conducting research, stay with a host family, and learn the lifestyle and culture of the local families. We will also learn to be more independent because most of us won’t have our parents with us , although we’ll have the support of our classmates and chaperones. We will learn many things in China, everything from interacting with the locals, to problem solving. Getting to go to china is a chance of a life time, and may change our prospective on many things and many ways.

Chaperones

Congratulations to Gary Uttke and Suzanne Postula who will be our parent chaperons for our trip to China. Amy Fifth will also be accompanying us as our teacher chaperon. Also Scott Farestrand is going to be the back-up parent chaperon!
